The Queen Cleopatra statue>Mystery of Cleopatra’s Palace on the ocean floor was revealed. In a diving mission, Tuesday, May 25, 2010, team of scientists have found important findings in the ruins beneath the sea, which is believed as the palace and the Temple of Isis, the place where the ancient Egyptian queen ever enthroned.

Palaces and temples from the Cleopatra period have been discovered by an archaeology team led by French underwater archaeologist Frank Gioddio near the Alexandria sea area . Franck Goddio and his team have discovered key places relating to the couple including the Timonium – Antony’s bolthole, unfinished when he died.

Cleopatra was Egypt’s last Greek-speaking ruler over 2,000 years ago.An earthquake and tsunami happened 1,600 years ago, which made the ruins sink into the bottom of the sea.

The queen romanced roman general Mark Antony in the palace and temple complex found by the divers.

They committed suicide there after a defeat by Octavian, the future Roman Emperor Augustus.

They also found a colossal stone head believed to be of Cleopatra’s son Caesarion with her previous lover Julius Caesar, and two sphinxes, one probably depicting her father.

The discovery in the waters of Alexandria will be performed at the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, United States (USA) from June 5 until January 2, 2010 in the exhibition titled “Cleopatra: The Search for The Last Queen of Egypt.” The exhibition will then continue to other cities in North America
