An earthquake with a strength of 8.8 SR occurred in Chile, Saturday 27 February 2010 yesterday, although not as bad as first in May 1960 which up to 5700 people were killed, which triggered a huge tsunami that reached as far as eastern New Zealand. Chile quake 2010 reported kills at least 210 people and has a potential tsunami also , one of which was indicated by the level of sea water. Even reported that a tsunami would hit the Indonesia’s waters 21 hours after the earthquake occurred, estimated on the north shore area of Papua.

While the Indonesia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs said had not received reports about the possibility of citizen (WNI) casualties in the disaster, such as appears int these video , the earthquake in Chile has damaged several buildings in the capital of Chile, Santiago, and cut off the electricity and telephone, while the Santiago International airport was closed.
